Roger Alan Johnson

Managing Partner

From the time Roger was young, his brain seemed to be wired to look at an issue with logic, a demand for proof, and the ability to think quickly to argue a position. As a young man, he thought he wanted to teach English literature, but he decided to go to law school. The more he began to understand the nobility of this old profession- the more he was sure he had found his place.

Roger believes his role as a trial lawyer is the best job in the world. It’s a profession where social order brings hope and restores balance for those who have suddenly found themselves in dire need, sometimes in desperation. The life and role of a trial lawyer brings Roger daily satisfaction—even with the stressors and the stories he hears from folks in pain—that something positive and something beautiful can spring from dedication, hard work, and caring.

Roger believes that his accomplishments in life are more to the credit of loyal, sacrificing family, partners, and support staff. Being inducted as a Fellow in the American College, being awarded the Tom Strong award, or obtaining great jury results on numerous cases- these are gratifying to consider, but Roger realizes that he had great company in making these happen. In reality, the shared nature of any of these personal or professional accomplishments makes them all the better for Roger.
