Brian Johnston

Springfield Partner

Brian was anti-bullying before anti-bullying was cool. One of his earliest childhood memories was a grade school teacher “assigning” him a younger student who was being bullied at school. Brian’s “assignment” was simply to spend time with the younger boy at recess, eat with him at lunch, and basically, befriend him in an effort to stop the bullying. Little did Brian know that this would shape his future personal life and professional life by charting his future career as a trial lawyer. “I don’t know what came of that young boy, but I hope in that short time that I affected his life as he affected mine.”

Brian believes his role as a trial lawyer is to stand up to corporate bullies and help those who can’t help themselves. Those who are suffering need to know there will be someone in their corner and that someone cares about them. With the successes and failures that he has had over the 22 years of trial practice he is most proud that he has always showed up, and no matter the verdict the client knew they had someone who stood up for them.
