Cephus Richard III

Cephus Richard III

Rogers, Arkansas

With a degree in engineering and a background in customer service, Cephus brings a unique skillset to his practice of law. His customer first approach allows him to connect with clients and jurors while utilizing technology to help explain his clients’ cases to jurors and insurance adjustors. As a tireless advocate for his personal injury clients, Cephus is never afraid to try a case. In his first six years of practice, Cephus tried over 20 jury trials in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, usually with one of the renowned partners of Johnson, Vorhees & Martucci, where Cephus has worked since completing law school a semester early.

Cephus regularly takes on cases where the potential client has been declined or referred by other attorneys, including one where a client collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer and was blamed for the wreck and declined by her attorney. Cephus was later able to prove the tractor-trailer changed lanes in front of the client and reached a six-figure resolution. In another instance, a client with pre-existing neck complaints needed a neck surgery over two years after the wreck and found herself without an offer or an attorney. Cephus resolved it for over six figures as well.

Cephus is also a dedicated member of both the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, where he was invited to speak at the last two annual Meet the Experts CLE in Northwest Arkansas as well as other CLE presentations.

Outside of his career, Cephus is devoted to his faith, family, and community. Along with his wife, Adrienne, they teach Sunday school at Church and Cephus regularly volunteers as a mentor through Project B.O.Y.S. at the local elementary school and Kappa League through his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi. Through both his fraternity and the NWA MLK Jr Council, Cephus is part of hardworking teams of volunteers that raise money for scholarships to give deserving high school and college students a more affordable chance at success.

“Every case is a big case because we understand that it is your only case. At JVM, you will be treated graciously, courteously, and professionally while your case will be handled aggressively, tenaciously, and profitably.”
